Uniforms and Standards
1. Shell Jacket - Richmond Depot Type II - woollen cloth, color grey/dark grey
2. Buttons for the jacket - Louisiana state, brass block "I", Script "I"
3. Pants - according to the Richmond Clothing Bureau pattern
4. Hat/Slouch Hat, color: black/brown/grey, period materials and construction. Kepi in the color of uniform.
5. Cartridge Box (Black leather only) - Pattern 1839, Pattern 1857, Enfield Pattern
6. Cap Box - Model 1850 U.S., Federal issue shield front, Richmond Arsenal, Enfield pattern cap box
7. Waist belt buckles - Louisiana state, or CS oval lead filled
8. Waist belt and cartridge box sling, color: black
9. Breast plate - Louisiana state
10. Haversack - Confederate or Federal Issue
11. Knapsack - U.S. model 1851 "double bag" or U.S. model 1853 "single bag"
12. Canteen - Wooden "Gardner pattern" canteen, Federal Issue or C.S. Richmond tin drum
13. Blankets, gum blankets - period materials and construction.
14. Shirt, longjohns - civilian or miliary type, according to period patterns
15. Shoes - must be made from period materials and period patterns.
16. Weapons:
- Enfield 1842, 1853
- Springfield U.S. Models 1842, 1861 or 1863
- Richmond Arsenal
